We are home!

We came home on Tuesday evening exactly 6 weeks after Charli was born. Obviously we've all been very busy adjusting to our new life at home. Our first night was like we had a newborn coming home for the first time. Poor baby screamed and cried all night and I think we all got about 3 hours sleep. This continued into the morning and early afternoon. After talking to the pediatrician today we are pretty sure we figured out the cause. They prescribed her a multivitamin with iron to take twice a day and it's obviously very hard on her little tummy. We didn't give it to her at all yesterday and she was a perfect baby last night. Slept all night and no crying, only woke up to eat. We wanted to discontinue the medicine but the Dr. said it was vey important to have it since her blood count has been low in the past. We will be slowly working our way up to the full dose because I like my sweet baby not the one that was here our first night home :)

We are slowly figuring out our routine around here. Luckily travis has been off and a big help. She got her first bath at home Wednesday night. It wasn't as bad as I thought it might be but I wouldn't say she enjoyed it.

We went to the pediatrician Thursday morning and that went well also. We will go back in two weeks for lab work to check her platelets. That was Charli's first big day out anywhere and it sure wore her out
