Like a weed

Charli went to the Dr. On Tuesday for her two month check up. Nobody warned me about all the shots!!! She got three :( She was so upset she didn't even scream, just opened her mouth and turned purple. Well she screamed afterwards if you know what I mean. She weighed 5lbs 12oz and is 19 1/4 inches long. That little chunker is probably 6 pounds by now!

Not much else going on around here besides the usual new baby stuff. The doctor added a teaspoon of formula to each bottle and let me say she is a whole new baby! Hardly fussy at all compared to what she was, and thank goodness because I was losing my mind.

We have a lot of appointments this week. Neurosurgery on Monday, Neurology on Thursday and Hematology on Friday. It's going to be a busy week but we will know something more definite about this cyst by the end of the week. That's the only thing we are really waiting on to say she is home for good. Wish us luck on our big week ahead!

No big deal, just trying to roll over.

One of the NICU nurses knitted this hat and sent it to us! How sweet!

Daddy daughter time!

Oh by the way I'll sleep anywhere unless it's my bassinet in the middle of the night! :)

It ain't easy being so cute!

Home sweet home

I can't believe it's been 10 days already! We are so glad to have Charli home. No more driving back and forth to the hospital :) That being said we are very sleep deprived! She still wakes up to be fed every three hours just like when she was in the hospital. She's not really easy to get back to sleep, so we are usually up about an hour to feed everytime she eats in the middle of the night. So I get about 2 hours straight at most every night! It's a really good thing I haven't had to go back to work yet, I would never make it through the day. Everyone says "sleep when she sleeps" and I really do try but during the day she only sleeps an hour straight then she's up again!

We have lots of follow up appointments which is another reason I haven't gone back to work. Seems like we have at least two a week through the end of the month so we will be pretty busy. For those of you that have asked to come see her, and I haven't got back with you, I'm very sorry. The pediatrician said to keep her away from most people, crowds, kids especially, and anyone with a runny nose or cough. So we have been confined to the house mostly, I think we've only gotten out twice. :) The Dr said to keep this up past the 2 month mark since she is still so small. He didn't say when exactly she could start venturing out, I'm going to have to ask when we go for our two month check up on Tuesday.
Before one of our rare outings

As far as weight, we don't have a scale so I can only guess. She was 5 lbs 3oz at the doctors visit on the 27th. She will be weighed again Tuesday and I'm excited to know. I can definitely tell she's getting bigger, she even has chubby little cheeks!
See my cheeks!

So for the most part we are doing great and thrilled to have her home! Also, my best friend Jennifer came in to town to meet her this weekend and I was so glad she finally got to see her and hold her. We are so sad to see them go and can't wait until Christmas when we see them again. Maybe Charli will have little rolls on her arms and legs by then!
Aunt Jen!

Uncle Brad came by and took some pictures of me ;)
